Vocabulary is the basic of a language and one of aspects in learning English and word wall can be one of creative media to teach vocabulary. It is media that implemented in SDN Unggulan Made IV Lamongan especially at fifth grade. This research aims at observing the implementation of teaching vocabulary using word wall to the fifth grade.
This study is to describe the application of teaching vocabulary using word wall and produce the theory related to the using of word wall in teaching vocabulary. The study was done on 12th of January to 8th March 2011. This study used descriptive qualitative, the methods of collecting the data in this research are observation and interview.
After analyzing the data, the writer draws some conclusions. There are five aspects that the writer analyzed about implementation of word wall, the first was how to choose the words, the second was how the teacher explained the word wall to students, the third was how teacher checked the studentsí understanding, the forth was how the teacher gave feedback to students and the last was how the teaching evaluate or gave score to students.
Based on the result of observation, the implementation of teaching vocabulary using word wall at V-A class of SDN Unggulan Made IV Lamongan has some different activities in every meetings such as matching the pictures and the sentences. The end of the activity, he asked to put their worksheet on the wall. This media was implementing every meeting.
Finally in order to develop the finding of this study, the writer suggest to the teacher should aware that media is very important in teaching, especially in teaching English. Because there are many students have weakness in some skills when they learning English especially in vocabulary. It is because when the students learning English language, they got new vocabulary. The writer also suggest to the further researcher that it will be better if the future researchers who want to study about the same study can to see related to the word wall media applied by the teacher in different subject and different focus.
